For many years I’ve trained large and small groups. Wallacespace is my favourite venue because it’s extra-ordinary. It’s more than a venue, it’s an amazing space in which to deliver training.
The essence of Wallacespace is the staff. They know who you are before you arrive, so you feel like a VIP when you walk through the door. They know your specific requirements, they check the room is totally ready – if not, they roll up their sleeves and do this for you. Everything is a pleasure, if something isn’t in the room, it’s a ‘I will get that now for you’ – rather than: ‘I wasn’t briefed about that, let me check’. The staff take care and total responsibility to ensure that you have the best possible environment in which to deliver a great experience for your delegates.
The added benefit is the format of the place. There are no set coffee breaks and lunch is when you want it – this means you can stop at the moment that works for you, rather than having to pause mid-way through a critical message. And if there are special diets or specific requirements, these are automatically addressed, enhancing the training programme and delighting the delegates.

We are trainers, facilitators, mentors and coaches and we spend most of our working lives at the mercy of hotels and conference/meeting venues. I’ve experienced every version of nasty over the years and have become resigned to just being grateful when the door closes, the milk isn’t off and the tech works.
And then came Wallacespace. In a sea of mediocrity, you set the gold standard. It’s just such a pleasure to spend the day at any of your venues (although death to diets) and my business partner and I recommend you to all our clients looking for space in London.
The readiness of the room and the never failing tech. I’m an early bird. I like to be set up and ready before my group arrives. That’s professionalism. I have lost count of the number of venues who are still hoovering and setting up when I arrive, even if it’s only half an hour until the start time. Or worse, they won’t even let me in to the room because “it was booked from 9.30”. At Wallacespace, everything is ready, I am welcome and help is at hand and arrives in seconds if needed. And then I can go and stuff myself with a 5 course breakfast.
Everything I have eaten at Wallacespace is utterly delicious, varied, clever and enticing. Your generosity of food and snacks throughout the day is unrivalled. It reminds me of my grandma’s house only without the brown carpet. I even asked for a recipe once for a one of the lunch dishes as it was so good – and it was emailed out to me later that day. By contrast, today I was with a group in a hotel by Euston station. Our room resembled a cell, the staff were surly and we had tea and coffee only, no biscuits. When I asked if we could have some, they said it wasn’t part of the rate and would be an extra charge. When I asked for a refill of tea and coffee that we hadn’t ordered they said it was an extra £3 pp, even if we just wanted hot water. Won’t be recommending them then.
Your team – everyone, absolutely everyone is friendly, helpful, efficient and a delight to deal with. They promote the brand utterly. They are such a credit to you. They actually seem to like their jobs. I’m always polite and friendly but you’d be amazed how much stroppiness and eye-rolling I encounter on a daily basis at hotels and venues with unmotivated staff.

As someone who is a bit of a geek about how environments facilitate creative work, I was both impressed and relieved by the one you have created.
Three things stood out:
– The room was light, there was space to move around and it was not formal. It didn’t feel like a conference room, but like a place where you could do what you wanted – stick things on walls, sit on the floor, whatever came to mind.
– The staff were super friendly and helpful. You’ll obviously know this, but it makes such a difference to know there are a bunch of people ready – and happy – to help with sourcing stickers, or particular types of post its. This allowed me to focus my energies on the clients and getting as much out of the day as possible for them. The support of the staff really helped with this.
– Might sound odd, but I loved the photos and bits of Roy Wallace’s electronic equipment around the place. It made me thing someone had thought about this. Miles better than the usual generic decor in rooms-for-hire, which can detract from creativity through its sheer blandness. Roy’s stuff kicked off a few very interesting trains of thought for me. I appreciate the personality that has gone into this.

Wallacespace has been always our first choice to run the Academy as it provides a perfect space required for our learning experience. Their team is throughly professional and very innovately resolve a problem/issue. The vibrant atmosphere and extremely helpful staff leaves a long lasting impression on the participants as well. In fact, they are also our lead providers for a range of programmes we run for diaspora leaders in the UK. Again, their customer service is exemplary and our account manager is very helpful and wonderful to work with.
Common Purpose
The event went really well which was in no small part down to you both and how accommodating you have been to our ‘unusual’ requests and how you weren’t phased by anything. I can’t thank you enough for everything you have done in the lead up to the event and today itself, it was absolutely faultless.
Please pass on our thanks to the whole team at Wallacespace who were all so friendly, approachable and professional. Especially the chefs and Maria too who looked after us so well with the delicious food. It was genuinely some of the best food I have eaten in a long time and the presentation was first-class. The food was also an absolute hit with the young people and also our colleagues back at the Royal Foundation who are currently devouring the left-overs as we speak and asking ‘’who the caterers were as the food is amazing.’’
The space & service you provide is outstanding and worked perfectly for our event today. Hopefully we can arrange a look-around of your other venues in due course so that we can work again with you in the near future – especially now you know what to expect from our events!

Hi Gemma
I’d like to say a massive thanks to you all at Wallacespace for yesterday. The service was amazing – we were all blown away.
For people like myself, it can be stressful running these sorts of sessions, so knowing that there are a team of energised, friendly and can-do people behind you, who have got your back is just brilliant.
Also thanks again for our upgrade to The Penthouse, and the complementary drinks and nibbles – which made the day that bit more special.
We’ll definitely be coming back in the future, and will continue to recommend you to others in our network.
Keep doing what you’re doing, and see you again soon!
