Wallacespace for innovation. It’s so much more than ‘just a room’.
The way we work and the environments in which we work have been evolving for years. Human-centric space design has become more prevalent as we learn more about how our surroundings influence our thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
We recently discovered some Finnish research into the impact of environment on innovation, which encapsulates for us what we have learnt over the years we have been in the business of ‘thinking space’.
The research identified 5 key characteristics of spaces which best support innovation. They are:
Social spaces
Innovation is a social process and our spaces are designed to encourage collaboration and human interaction, with free breakout spaces and areas that encourage ‘water cooler’ moments of conversation. We build conversation triggers into our spaces as discussion starters and ice breakers, and our clients tell us that the warmth of our welcome and the openness of our team promotes a similar energy in your rooms.
Flexible
Just as innovation requires flexible thinking, innovative spaces require flexible design. Wallacespaces are built with flexibility in mind and our teams have this flexibility at the heart of everything we do; from our spaces & furniture; to our service and our cancellation terms.
Tech savvy
We’ve invested in the best hybrid meeting technology and internet bandwidth to help you deliver premium virtual experiences, that may be watched by anyone, from anywhere, at anytime.
We’ve also brought in a team of tech experts from TV + broadcast media. Our team will help you rehearse, plan and take care of all eventualities so that you can focus on engaging your virtual audience.
Comfortable
At wallacespace, we seek to provide inspiring, interesting spaces which stimulate conversation and in which people feel comfortable. We don’t do overly ‘designed’ interiors, because we know that our rooms must also be flexible, useful working spaces, in which people think, create and stick things on walls. Interesting spaces attract interesting people and trigger thoughts, ideas and conversation. Our spaces are comfortable and relaxed, we hope you feel at home and actually want to spend time with us.
Value reflecting
According to the research, the ‘values’ of innovation include openness, sustainability and collaboration, and it was found that innovative spaces mirror these values. Our teams are warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in ensuring that you have a successful day.
We are in the business of providing environments that help people innovate and think creatively.
When we design our buildings we consider how you and your team will use the space, and whether the environment we create will best serve your end goals.
